Larsen & Toubro was started in 1938. When two Danish engineers Henning Holk Larsen and Soren Christian Turbo established this company in Mumbai. It started as a small engineering firm and gradually became a multinational power house.

Born on 16 March 1960 in Chennai, Subramanian has a civil engineer degree from NIT Kurukshetra and an MBA degree from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Along with this, he has also completed an executive program of London Business School. Let us tell you that in 1984, Subramanian joined Larsen & Toubro as a project planning engineer and climbed up the ranks in almost 4 decades. This made him one of India’s longest serving corporate leaders. His total salary in the year 2024-25 has become Rs 76.25 crore.
