The controversy has increased in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, after the alleged objectionable remarks made by Maulana Abdullah Salim of Bihar about the mother of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Hoardings have been put up in Hazratganj, Lucknow in which it has been written that Maulana Abdullah Salim will be hanged at Atal Chowk itself.
Let us tell you that on March 7, there was a protest in the capital against the statement of Maulana and the youth burnt the effigy of Maulana at Atal Square and demanded strict action. The matter has gained momentum after the statement went viral on social media.
What is the whole matter?
It is being told that a statement of Maulana Abdullah Salim of Bihar went viral on social media, in which he made alleged controversial remarks about the mother of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After this statement came to light, resentment is being seen in political and social organizations. Many people have called this statement insulting and demanded action.
Many organizations and people lodged a protest against the viral video and statement, calling it an insult to the Chief Minister’s mother. After this controversy, protests started in the capital Lucknow and the protesters demanded strict action from the administration.
Protest and hoarding in Lucknow
After the controversy escalated, hoardings were also put up in protest at many places in Hazratganj area of the capital Lucknow. It was written in these hoardings that “Hindu society will not tolerate the insult of Yogi ji’s mother.” Besides, it was also written in some posters that “Maulana should be hanged at Atal Chowk”. After these posters surfaced, this issue became more discussed in the city. On March 7, youth gathered at Atal Square in Lucknow and demonstrated against Maulana Abdullah Salim. During the demonstration the youth raised slogans and burnt his effigy.
