During the Magh Mela in Prayagraj, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at Sangam Nose on Mauni Amavasya, due to which the administration had difficulty in managing the arrangements. Meanwhile, the administration stopped Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth from moving ahead. Seeing the crowd, the administration requested him to get down from the chariot and walk on foot, but his supporters and devotees did not agree and started moving forward.
During this, there was a scuffle and a minor clash between the police and the supporters. At present, Shankaracharya’s procession has been stopped and senior police and administration officials are present at the spot to control the situation.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati alleged that when the administration told us to stop, we started returning, but when we started returning, they started killing our saints.
