Magh Mela 2026: Today i.e. 1st February 2026, the fifth major bath is being taken on the occasion of Magh Purnima. According to the fair officials, preparations have already been made for the main bath of Magh Purnima.

This occasion marks the end of one month Kalpvas which started from Paush Purnima (3 January). More than 10 lakh Kalpavasis will return to their native place after completing their spiritual journey and taking the final dip of faith.

Today, on the occasion of Magh Purnima, the fair administration is expecting a huge crowd of not only regular pilgrims but also the families of Kalpavasis.

Different routes determined to improve traffic

To improve the traffic, the fair authority has set separate exit routes for the Kalpavasis. Last Friday, arrangements were made for a sure route for vehicles to reach the camp areas, so that the devotees could easily collect all their luggage and leave on Sunday or Monday.

According to Pal Balaji’s ardent devotee and astrologer Anish Vyas, the auspicious time for bathing is from 5.20 am on February 1 to 3.46 am the next day.

More than 20 crore people have taken bath in Magh Mela so far

According to the official records related to Magh Mela, till January 26, more than 20 crore devotees had taken bath in Triveni Sangam, which is much more than the expected number of 12-15 crore pilgrims for the entire Magh Mela 2026.

According to fair officer Rishi Raj, keeping in mind the increasing crowd in Magh Mela, all security agencies and administrative teams have been put on high alert. Vehicles are completely prohibited in the Sangam area till midnight of February 2, although according to DCP Neeraj Pandey, administrative vehicles and vehicles involved in medical emergencies will be exempted from this ban.
