Seven devotees died and about three dozen people were injured when a stampede was caused by a stampede at Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The administration says that such an incident happened due to overcrowding. However, this is not the first time that the administration is hiding its failure. Earlier, there was a stampede during Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Jagannath Rath Yatra, New Delhi railway station and recently RCB’s Victory Peduner, in which many people were killed.

There was a stampede in Prayagraj Mahakumbh on 29 January

At least 30 pilgrims were killed in a stampede during the Mahakumbh Mela on 29 January 2025 in Prayagraj. More than 60 were injured in this accident. The incident took place on the day of Mauni Amavasya, when millions of people came to take a holy bath at Triveni Sangam.

There was a stampede in Bengaluru on 4 June

The second incident took place on 4 June, when the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, which won the IPL, gathered at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore to celebrate the victory. Then there was a stampede in the crowd of fans standing outside the stadium and 11 people were killed, while 33 people were injured. According to eyewitnesses, during the celebration, the crowd suddenly became uncontrollable outside and inside the stadium, causing chaos.

Stampede in Jagannath Rath Yatra on 29 June

During the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri, Odisha, a painful accident occurred on 29 June last month. The incident took place at around 4:30 am on Sunday morning, when the devotees gathered in large numbers to see God in front of Srigundicha temple. At the same time, there was a shock and stampede-like situation. Three people have died in this incident, while more than 50 people were injured.,

18 died at New Delhi railway station

Apart from this, there was a stampede at New Delhi railway station on 16 February 2025, in which 18 people were killed and many were injured. The incident took place due to a huge crowd of passengers going to Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela.
