Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met several Union ministers and leaders in Delhi on Friday (25 July). CM Fadnavis held a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and NITI Aayog. During this time, he discussed different projects and issues related to Maharashtra.

The CM of Maharashtra wrote on his social media platform X about the meeting with the Union Home Minister, “Our leader in New Delhi had a courtesy meeting with Union Home Minister, Cooperative Minister Amit Shah.”

CM Fadnavis meeting with Nirmala Sitharaman

Chief Minister Fadnavis wrote in another post, “Today there was a very good meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi. We discussed in detail the external aided projects in Maharashtra. The Finance Minister appreciated the prudent financial assistance for the financial management of Maharashtra and directed the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) to approve the multi-year pipeline for the following project-

  • Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana: 1 billion US dollars will be strengthened by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to connect villages with 1000+ population to the main road network of the state, which will strengthen connectivity to the end.
  • Maharashtra-strengthening the coastal resilience and economy project (M-Shore): 500 million US dollars from the World Bank to reduce the increase in sea level with Maharashtra coastline using nature-based solutions.
  • Maharashtra Urban Water Resources and Reuse Program: US $ 500 million from the World Bank, so that 100% of the municipal wastewater can be treated and reused for industrial purposes.

Devendra Fadnavis meeting with NITI Aayog

Along with this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday (July 25) in New Delhi, Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog, BVR. Subramaniam and member Rajiv met Gauba. The CM wrote in the X post, “Despite the FRBM being 25 percent, Maharashtra appreciated the state’s financial discipline for maintaining it at 18%.”

Use of AI and discussion on bamboo based clusters

During this period, the use of artificial intelligence for screening of NCD (non-commercial disease), bamboo-based clusters (both projects of about US $ 500 million), Marathwada Water Grid and Damanganga-Godavari River Addition Project, including other Jal Samadhan projects (total 1 billion US dollars) and other US dollars are being connected with private industries (total 1 billion). There was a detailed discussion and presentation about the skill development program.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was assured to give necessary approval to these projects soon.
