Congress leader Hussain Dalwai’s statement has come to light on the ongoing debate regarding the investigation of madrassas and their funding source. On this issue, he said bluntly that if investigation has to be done then why should it be limited only to Madrassas, rather all the institutions should be investigated equally.
Hussain Dalwai said, “If you are investigating madrassas and asking where the funds come from, then I ask, where do RSS get funds from? Investigate that too. Where do big temples get funds from? Investigate that too. The point is, why talk only about madrassas? Talk about all.”
After this statement of Dalwai, the discussion has intensified in political circles. He says that it is not right to raise questions by selecting any one community or institution.

Questions raised on the intentions of the government
The Congress leader alleged that in the name of investigation of madrassas, a certain section is being targeted. He said that many types of social, religious and ideological organizations are working in the country, which get funds from different sources. In such a situation, if transparency is being talked about, then this rule should apply equally to everyone.
RSS and temples also mentioned
In his statement, Dalwai clearly took the name of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and big temples and said that the funds received by these institutions should also be investigated in the same way as madrasas are being investigated. He says that only this will maintain fairness and trust.
It is believed that political reaction is certain after this statement. The opposition may try to put pressure on the government by making this an issue. At present, the issue of investigation of madrassas has once again come to the center of political debate.
