The Congress party on Tuesday made a major organizational reshuffle to give a edge to the preparations for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra. The party has formed the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) for the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC). Along with this, new responsibilities have also been given to many senior leaders.

Ramesh Chennithla gets PAC command

According to a release issued by Congress’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, the command of Maharashtra PAC has been handed over to state in -charge Ramesh Chennithla. In this committee, State Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal, senior leaders Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pandey, Prithviraj Chavan, Sushil Kumar Shinde and many other experienced leaders have been given place. This committee will take important strategic decisions of the party and will give direction to election preparations.

Appointments made at many levels

Apart from this, the Congress has made appointments at many levels to further strengthen the organization in the state unit. The party has announced the names of 16 senior vice -presidents, 38 vice -presidents, 108 general secretaries and 95 secretaries. All these officials have been given the responsibility of activating the party at the grassroots and enthusiasts in the workers.

The party has also formed an 87 -member executive, which will conduct party programs, movements and other activities across the state.

Apart from Maharashtra, the Congress has started preparing an election front in Karnataka too. The party has made new appointments for the election campaign committee there. Senior leader El Hanumanthaiya has been appointed as co -chairman of this committee.

It is clear from these changes that the Congress has now started preparing for the mission 2024 and the upcoming assembly elections. These new appointments in the organization expect the party to get strength at the ground level.
