The party chief and Maharashtra Deputy Minister Eknath Shinde has reacted sharply to the incidents of Shiv Sena MLA and Minister. Shinde on Monday asked party MLAs and ministers not to follow discipline in public life and do not force them to take action.
Shinde intervened to prevent the damage reached by Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad after the incident of Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad slapping an employee of the canteen after allegedly serving a ‘stale food’ at MLA Hostel in Mumbai.
Addressing a meeting of the party, Shinde said, “Public life demands discipline and we should maintain it.” I expect discipline and accountability from all of you. ”
Sanjay Shirsat’s video was viral
Even before the anger over the incident related to Gaikwad, a video of Shiv Sena Minister Sanjay Shirsat broadcast, in which he is sitting in a room and allegedly has a bag full of bundles of notes. A few days ago, he received an income tax notice for allegedly increasing his declared property.
Shirsat had rejected the charge of cash bundles, while Gaikwad was adamant on his point and justified the attack on the canteen employee. Not only the Shiv Sena, but also the Fadnavis government faced embarrassment due to both the incidents.
Do not decide under the pressure of any external power- Eknath Shinde
Addressing the meeting, Shinde warned the legislators and ministers not to come and decide under the pressure of any external influence or power. He said, “Some ministers had to step down due to public opposition. I do not like to take action against my own family members. But do not force me to do so.”
He asked his Shiv Sena colleagues not to waste their energy on unnecessary issues and speak less and do more work. Shinde said, “I don’t behave like a boss. I am not angry. I work like a worker and hope that you also behave like a worker.”
