A big development has come to light regarding the company related to Parth Pawar, son of former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, late Ajit Pawar. The company has filed an appeal challenging the stamp duty notice issued by the Maharashtra Registration Department. This information has been given by departmental sources.

Controversy regarding stamp duty of Rs 21 crore

According to sources, the Registration Department had issued a notice to deposit the stamp duty of about Rs 21 crore related to the sale deed of land in Mundhwa area by February 10. The department says that during the sale of land, stamp duty was not paid as per rules, hence this amount should be recovered.

Order has already been issued

Earlier, the registration department, in an order, had directed Amadiya Enterprises LLP and its partner Digvijay Patil to deposit the stamp duty waived at the time of the sale deed of 40 acres of government land. In this order also it was said that payment should be made by 10th February.

Hearing will be held in front of IGR

A senior official of the department said on Monday that the last date for depositing stamp duty was February 10, but the concerned company has filed an appeal challenging the order.

Now this entire matter will be heard before the Inspector General of Registration. However, the officer did not clarify on what grounds the original order demanding Rs 21 crore has been challenged.

Case related to deal worth Rs 300 crore

It is being told that the deal of selling 40 acres of land by Amadiya Enterprises LLP for about Rs 300 crore came under scrutiny when it was revealed that the land in question was government property and the company was given exemption in stamp duty. For this reason, this matter has now become serious at the administrative and legal level.
