Maharashtra fund for temples: The Mahayuti government has approved schemes worth more than Rs 5,000 crore for the development of famous temples and pilgrimage sites. These schemes include Rs 1,865 crore for Tulzbhavani Temple of Dharashiv, Rs 1,445 crore for Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur, Rs 829 crore for the temple at Mahurgad in Nanded, Rs 275 crore for Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nashik and Rs 259.59 crore for Jyotiba Temple in Kolhapur.
Taking a major step towards strengthening healthcare and medical education in rural Maharashtra, the Mahayuti government led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis approved the establishment of a new government medical college in the district. Its estimated cost will be Rs 485.08 crore.
The college will have an admission capacity of 100 students and it will also have a 430 -bed hospital. This college has been dedicated in the name of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar.
Apart from this, many other decisions focused on the welfare of women were also taken. ‘Adishakti Abhiyan’ will be implemented to empower women across the state. The purpose of this campaign is to address women’s health issues sensitivity, reduce malnutrition, infant mortality and maternal mortality, increase education rate in girls, prevent sexual and physical abuse, promote the leadership role of women in panchayat raj system and strengthen the economic freedom of women. A allocation of Rs 10.5 crore has been made for this campaign.
In addition, a film will also be produced in other languages including Marathi to present the works of this great social reformer globally. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that the film will be released internationally.
