A sensational murder case has come to light from Satara district of Maharashtra. Disclosing this matter, Lonand Police has arrested 4 people including a police constable posted in Navi Mumbai. According to the police, this murder is the result of illicit relations and mutual rivalry.
The arrested main accused Bandu Bapu Bhise (49) is posted at Rabale MIDC police station in Navi Mumbai. Along with him, Vijay Popatrao Pawar (36), Kiran Vikas Gaikwad (27) and Srinivas Dnyaneshwar Lone (25) have also been arrested. The deceased has been identified as Somnath Bobde, who was a resident of Kalamboli, Panvel, Navi Mumbai.
Relationship with the same woman became the root of controversy
Police investigation has revealed that both the accused Havildar and the deceased had a relationship with the same woman. There was tension between the two regarding this issue for a long time. It is being told that Bandu Bhise had a deep grudge against Somnath and he decided to remove him from the way.
According to the police, the accused along with his three associates conspired to murder Somnath. First he was strangled on the spot, due to which he died.
Burned by pouring petrol, then threw the body in the well.
After the murder, the accused tried to destroy the evidence. They put the body in the car and brought it from Kalamboli to Sukhed (Lonand) area of Satara district. There, the dead body was sprinkled with petrol and set on fire near a well situated in an isolated place.
When the body became half burnt, it was pushed into the well. The accused felt that in this way neither they would be identified nor the matter would reach the police.
Secret revealed due to promptness of police
During the investigation, Lonand police exposed the entire case by connecting each link. All four accused have been arrested. Two of these accused are said to be rickshaw pullers, who are residents of Pune and Jalna.
The police have informed the relatives of the deceased. Further legal action and evidence gathering work is underway in the case. This incident has become a topic of discussion in the entire area.
