There was a stir on Sunday when a suspicious bag was found outside the Suvarnagad bungalow of Nitish Rane, the official residence of Maharashtra BJP leader and state government minister. According to preliminary information, an unknown person had left the spot after keeping the bag outside the bungalow. After the bag was seen, the police and investigating agencies were immediately informed about it.

As soon as the information was received, senior officers of Mumbai Police and the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and after securing the entire area, a thorough investigation of the bag was started. During this period, the movement in the surrounding area was also kept under precautionary surveillance.

Explosives were not found in the bag – shoes were filled with explosives.

According to a senior Mumbai Police officer, when the suspicious bag was examined, no explosive or dangerous material was found in it. A letter and a large number of shoes were recovered inside the bag. Police said that it was written in the letter, “Whoever wants shoes, take them for free.” Many different types of shoes were kept in the bag. But the question of why someone did this is troubling people now. What if it was really explosive?

The search for the person keeping the bag begins

A person is visible in the CCTV footage, who kept the bag outside the bungalow and left from there. At present the police is busy identifying and searching for that person. Officials say that after investigation, no suspicious or objectionable item was found in the bag. The police is investigating this matter from all aspects.

Police officials are trying to find out why the bag was kept there and what was the intention of that person behind it. On the other hand, no response has been received from Nitish Rane in this matter.
