Recently Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan released a coffee table book called ‘Maharashtra Nayak’ at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of 55th birthday of Devendra Fadnavis. In this book, Fadnavis’s contribution in state politics has been told. The book includes the quotes of both Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, in which they have praised Fadnavis’ working style and leadership ability. Thackeray wrote that Fadnavis is a study and loyal leader who strengthened the BJP in Maharashtra- which was once a Congress stronghold.
Devendra Fadnavis’s answer- ‘There is ideological opposition, not enemy’
Fadnavis welcomed Thackeray’s remarks while talking to reporters in Nagpur. He said, “We are ideological opponents, not enemies. I am grateful to Uddhav Thackeray.” Thackeray also mentioned in his article that Fadnavis could get an opportunity to play a big role at the national level. This was a rare moment when leaders of opposing parties were publicly appreciated each other’s actions.
