The Uttar Pradesh government has made a major reshuffle with the aim of bringing administrative tightness in the state. The government has transferred many senior IAS and PCS officers.
Under this important change, the responsibilities of important units like Public Works Department, Home Department and Academy of Administration and Management have been handed over to new faces. The official transfer list has been released in this regard by the government.
Transfer of IAS officers: Who got what responsibility?
According to the released list, changes have been made in the work area of 7 senior officers, in which waiting officers have also got new posting:
- Prakash Bindu: After being removed from the post of Secretary, Public Works Department, he has now been given the important responsibility of Secretary, Home Department.
- Dr. Lokesh M.: Dr. Lokesh, who was waiting till now, has been made Secretary, Public Works Department.
- Smt. Neena Sharma: Director, Academy of Administration and Management has now been given the charge of Principal Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises and Director General (Public Enterprises)
- Sanjay Kumar: He has been transferred from Director General, Public Enterprises to the post of Director, Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management.
- Mahendra Prasad: Has been made Special Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Coordination Department from waiting list.
- Raghubir: Special Secretary, Charitable Works Department has been sent to Special Secretary, Disabled Persons Empowerment Department.
- Ashish Kumar: Managing Director, State Tourism Development Corporation has been assigned the additional charge of Special Secretary, Department of Charitable Affairs, along with his present post.
PCS officers also transferred
To make the administrative system more efficient at the ground level, the government has also made changes in the scope of work of many PCS officers:
- Surendra Kumar: Has been promoted from Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Mathura and made Additional Commissioner, Kanpur Division.
- Ved Priya Arya: Deputy District Magistrate, Jalaun has been given the charge of Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Mathura.
- Gulab Singh: Special Officer, Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (Jhansi) has been sent to Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Kushinagar.
- Pradeep Kumar Singh-2: Deputy District Magistrate, Jhansi has been transferred to Deputy District Magistrate, Gonda.
This step of the government is being considered as an important effort towards speeding up the upcoming schemes and increasing law and order and administrative work.
