Ingredients to make chocolate modak
You do not need a lot of ingredients to make chocolate modak. You can easily prepare it at home.
- 2 cup maida
- 1 cup jaggery or sugar powder
- 1 cup grated coconut
- ½ cup cocoa powder or melted chocolate
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
- Milk as per requirement

- First of all, heat a little ghee in a pan and add grated coconut and fry it lightly.
- Now add jaggery/sugar powder and mix well
- After this, prepare the mixture by adding cocoa powder or melted chocolate to it.
- Now add cardamom powder to this mixture and keep it to cool
- On the other hand, knead the flour and make a slight dough
- Now apply some flour in the modak mold and fill the prepared chocolate mixture in it.
- Cover the mold by covering it with the dough again
- Make all modaks like this and then steam and prepare them
