Male breast cancer: In America, cases of breast cancer have increased rapidly among men living and working near the World Trade Center i.e. Ground Zero. According to a report in the New York Post, America’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention has so far confirmed breast cancer in 91 men. However, it is worth noting that this figure is till the year 2024. This number is six times more than the cases recorded in 2018 and 90 times more than the US national average.

Symptoms that should not be ignored
According to experts, the initial symptoms of breast cancer in men are often mild and are ignored. Some common symptoms include a painless lump or swelling on the chest, shrinking, redness or discoloration of the skin, change in shape of the nipple or turning inward, leakage of fluid or blood from the nipple, and swelling in the armpit or around the collarbone. If any of these symptoms persist for a long time, it is important to get checked by a doctor immediately.
