Mandira Bedi on Husband Death Anniversary: Actress and cricket commentator Mandira Bedi married Raj Kaushal in 1999. Raj died of heart attack in the year 2021. Mandira Bedi has recently revealed that she does not celebrate the death anniversary of her husband Raj. He also told that his son Veer had a profound effect on his father’s death.
In a recent interview to Satyadev Burman YouTube channel The Full Circle, Mandira Bedi spoke on her husband’s death. He said- ‘I can now say that the first year, the first of everything, the first birthday, the first anniversary, the first Diwali, Raj loved Diwali, the first new year, it was all very difficult.’
‘What is kept to remember in this day’
Mandira further said- ‘The first moment of everything is when you sit in your room and close the door and you do not want to talk to anyone. You cry, and you cry until you can cry more. ‘ Mandira further explained that she does not celebrate Raj’s death anniversary. He said- ‘I worshiped one month, worship of one year and all the other customs. After one year of worship, I decided that I would not celebrate this day anymore. Why should we celebrate this day? What is kept to remember in this day. This is a sad day of our life.
Raja’s death has a profound effect on son Veer
During this, Mandira also told that at the time of Raj’s death, her adopted daughter Tara Surf was 8-9 months old. At the same time, his son Veer who was close to his father, Raj’s death had a profound effect. Talking about the impact of Raj’s death on son Veer, Mandira said- ‘I never told her to stop crying. Boys do not cry, this is nonsense. I told him to cry as much as you cry and shed your tears because the sooner you shed your tears, we will be able to remember them happily.
