In an interview to Pinkvilla, film maker Hansal Mehta has revealed how much signing amount was given to Manoj Bajpayee for Satya. Hansla Mehta told, “I had given Manoj to sign 1 rupee, for that film, he had given him a lot of liquor, he too gave him 1 rupee to Anurag (Kashyap), did not give anything to Saurabh (Shukla), and Saurabh had written it. Anurag had to be part of the writing but he did not, he was busy in Satya.”
What did Manoj Bajpayee say about Satya?
In an old interview to Hindustan Times, Manoj Bajpayee spoke on his initial career. He had said that when he signed Satya, his situation in the industry was not good. He told that he was only doing small roles and struggling to earn some. According to him, Satya shaped his career.
Bajpai further told that after the huge success of Satya, he started getting good roles and started getting respect in the industry and he had reached the major production house.
