  • From October 1, 2025, there will be a big change in the National Pension System (NPS). In this, subscribers associated with non-government sector will be allowed to invest up to 100 % in equity under the Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF). That is, from October 1, the non-government subscribers of NPS will be able to invest the entire amount of pension in the scheme related to the stock market. Whereas in the first equity, the limit of investment was 75 percent. Along with this, a fee of Rs 18 will be charged for the e-pran kit for Pran (Permanent Retirement Account Number) from private sector employees like government sector and Rs 40 for physical pran card. In this, annual maintenance charge per account will be Rs 100. The PRAN opening charge and maintenance charge for Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and NPS light subscribers will be Rs 15. While there will be no fees on the transaction.
  • The second major change from October 1, 2025 is related to the railway. Under this, only those people will be able to book tickets during the first 15 minutes of opening the reservation, whose base verification has been done. However, there will be no change in the time or process for ticket takers from computerized PRS counter. Apart from this, the authorized agents of the railway will not be able to book tickets for the first 10 minutes before the reservation opens. The purpose of these changes is to stop rigging while booking railway tickets so that the benefit can reach the right users.
  • Classing the online gaming industry, the government has approved Online Gaming Bill 2025, which is going to be implemented from October 1. Its purpose is to prevent the addiction and financial loss of real money gaming. Also, e-sports have to be promoted. Those who violate the rules may have a three -year prison and a fine of Rs 1 crore, while the promoters may have a sentence of two years and a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh.
  • From October 1, there is going to be a big change in the prices of LPG cylinder. This change will directly affect the budget of the kitchen. Earlier, oil marketing companies had changed the prices of 19 kg gas cylinders, while there was no change in the prices of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder. The last of these changes were made to Delhi-Mumbai, Kolkata-Chennai and other cities on 8 April 2025. Apart from this, the prices of ATF, CNG and PNG may also change.
  • From October 1, major changes will be applicable in Unified Payments Interface (UPI). These new changes being implemented by NPCI will affect Phonpe, Google Pay and Paytm users. NPCI can remove Peer-to-Pier (P2P) transactions, one of the most commonly used UPI features. This feature will be removed from UPI apps from October 1, 2025 to strengthen the security of users and prevent financial fraud. This information is given in a circular of July 29.
