This time, Shivani (Rani Mukherjee starrer) joins the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and takes up the responsibility of a horrifying case of kidnapping of two little girls. The case becomes more dangerous as Shivani digs deeper into the investigation, uncovering a nationwide human trafficking network run by an old woman named Amma, played by Mallika Prasad. What initially appears to be a case of smuggling soon turns out to be linked to a big beggar mafia.
Shaitan fame Janaki Bodywala also plays an important role in Mardaani 3. The story of the film has been written by Ayush Gupta, who wrote YRF’s The Railway Men, and it is directed by Abhiraj Minawala. This project has been produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner.
