Saina Nehwal on Relationship: India’s legendary badminton player and Olympic medalist Saina Nehwal surprised everyone last year when she confirmed her separation from her husband Parupalli Kashyap. They had confirmed their separation in July 2025, but after some time both of them came together again. Both of them wanted to give this relationship another chance and are still together.
Now the veteran badminton star has spoken openly about his relationship. Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap got married in the year 2018. Saina says that a relationship can last only when there is effort, patience and understanding. He said that relationships are never simple.
According to NDTV, on separation from Parupalli Kashyap, Saina Nehwal said, “There are different phases in every relationship. When two people with strong personalities come together, it is natural to have disagreements. But the most important thing is respect, understanding and willingness to solve problems.”
Patience is very important
Saina told that mutual understanding and patience is very important to run a relationship. He said that sometimes it is right for one person to yield and it is also very important to understand the other person’s point of view. Saina says that today both of them are learning from their respective experiences and have understood that wanting to win an argument is not a sign of a good relationship.
Does ego get in the way?
When the veteran badminton player was asked what was the key to making a relationship last. On this he said that trust, respect and mutual understanding are the most important aspects of a relationship. He said that many problems end when you start sharing things honestly.
