Maruti Suzuki in India is going to bring a hybrid version of its popular sub-compact crossover Fronx SUV. This new car is being made especially for the middle-class families who are looking for an affordable SUV with more mileage. According to media reports, the new Fronx Hybrid can be launched in 2026 and its potential debut can be in India Mobility Global Expo 2026. Recently, this car has also been seen during testing in Gurugram.

How much will the price of Maruti Fronx Hybrid?

  • The new Fronx Hybrid will be expensive than the current petrol model. It is believed that its price will be about 2 to 2.5 lakh rupees more than the petrol version. Currently, the price of Fronx ranges from 7.59 lakh to 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom). In such a situation, the price of hybrid variants can be between 8 lakh to 15 lakh (ex-showroom). In this range, this SUV can prove to be a budget-friendly option for middle-class customers.

Engine and mileage

  • The Maruti Fronx Hybrid will have the company’s new 1.2-liter Z12e three-cylinder petrol engine, which will work with a strong hybrid system. This series is a hybrid setup, in which the petrol engine will charge the battery and power the electric motor wheels. With the help of this new technology, the mileage of Fronx Hybrid can reach 30-35 km/liter. It is much better than the existing petrol version (20.01–22.89 km/liter) and CNG variant (28.51 km/kg).

Features and Technology

  • Many premium features will be given in 2026 Maruti Fronx Hybrid. It is expected to get a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated front seats and sunroof. The company can also include the feature of level-1 Adas in the top model, which will make the driving even more safe and easy.

Safety features

  • Maruti always insists on improving her safety package. Safety features will be given as the existing model in Fronx Hybrid. This may include 6 airbags (standard), EBD with ABS, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, reverse parking sensor and camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts and tire pressure monitoring system.
