Tahir Anwar, the eldest brother of Masood Azhar, the leader of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan, died due to unknown reasons in Bahawalpur on Monday evening (March 30, 2026). Masood’s brother Tahir Anwar was the head of military affairs of Jaish-e-Mohammed and was handling the entire responsibility from training of terrorists to setting up training camps since 2001.
62-year-old Tahir Anwar was the eldest among 12 siblings and used to do poultry farming before the formation of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Anwar lived with his family in the new headquarters of Jaish.
Currently, terrorist Tahir Anwar was living with his family in Markaz Usman O Ali, the new headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, and apart from arranging training camps and training for the terrorists, Masood’s eldest brother Tahir Anwar was also involved in the purchase and sale of weapons for the terrorist activities of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Tahir Anwar’s Namaz-e-Janaza was held at the new headquarters Markaz Usman O Ali at 11:30 pm Indian time, in which, according to sources, Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar along with his brothers and terrorists Ibrahim Azhar, Talha Al Saif, Abdur Rauf, Mohammad Ammar Alvi were present.
Terrorist Tahir Anwar had survived in Operation Sindoor
According to sources, Tahir Anwar and his son Hammad were seriously injured in the Indian Air Force strike in Markaz Subhanallah during Operation Sindoor, but both their lives were saved during Operation Sindoor, but according to the information today on Monday (March 30, 2026) around 6 pm, Tahir Anwar has died under unknown circumstances.
