Two different genre films from Bollywood have been released in theaters this Friday. One Masti 4 and the other 120 Bahadur. There is no special buzz about both the films. If the current advance booking numbers are to be believed, this Friday is heading towards a disappointing performance at the Bollywood box office. Actually, booking of ‘Masti 4’ and ‘120 Bahadur’ started from yesterday, but the initial ticket sales for both have been very slow. Both the films are completely different from each other and have been made keeping in mind different demographics and audience base. Let us tell you that 120 Bahadur is a war drama and it has a touch of patriotism. The promotion of this film starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead role has been going on for the last few months and it has gained momentum in the last few weeks. It has been completely made keeping the multiplex audience in mind. On the other hand, Masti 4 is a film which is liked by the single screen audience, but today such screens are hardly left. Let us tell you that Masti and Grand Masti had performed well, although Great Grand Masti was a flop. However, the makers want to revive this franchise as well as the genre with Masti 4
If we talk about opening day earnings of both the films, it will depend on word of mouth and if we talk about spot booking, Masti 4 can take the lead on the first day. We will have to wait and see what happens on Saturday, but at least a slow start is expected on Friday as both the films can open to Rs 2-3 crore. However, the final figures will be updated only after 10.30 pm.
