Matthew Breetjke’s ODI career has been historic. He has set a world record by scoring at least 50 runs in the first five ODI innings of his career. In the second ODI against England, he has written his name with golden letters in ODI history, playing 85 runs. Breetj has become the first cricketer in the world to have put a least fifty in the first five innings of his ODI career.
Matthew Breetjke set world record
26 -year -old Matthew Breetjke made his ODI debut against New Zealand this year, in which he played a memorable innings of 150 runs. After that he scored 83 runs against Pakistan. Breetjke then played 2 matches against Australia, in which he scored 57 and 88 runs respectively. Now he has contributed 85 runs in the second ODI against England.
In the second ODI against England, Breetj came to bat on the fourth order. When he came to batting, South Africa had fallen 2 wickets for 78 runs. He partnered 147 runs in collaboration with Triston Stabs. Stabs scored 58 runs.
Navjot Singh Sidhu’s record broke
Breetj has scored 463 runs in the first 5 matches of his ODI career at an excellent average of 92.6. With this, he has broken the record of Navjot Singh Sidhu of India. Sidhu had put four fifty in the first four innings of his ODI career, but Matthew Breetjke has scored five consecutive half -centuries. Sidhu made his ODI debut in the 1987-88 World Cup, where he scored 73, 75, 51, 55 runs in the first four Vanade innings.
