May seat sharing dispute sink the Grand Alliance? Tejashwi himself is getting trapped in the process of cornering NDA, understand in 5 points

With the end of the deadline for filing nominations for Bihar Assembly elections, big political personalities have started campaigning for their party’s candidates. The alliance partners, who were hoping to oust the NDA from power, could not agree on seat sharing. The seat sharing formula was not formally announced by the Grand Alliance, but as soon as the nomination process was over, things became clear as to who would contest on how many seats.

Grand alliance started lagging behind NDA

1. There are 254 candidates in the electoral fray from the Grand Alliance for the total 243 assembly seats in Bihar. Two candidates each from the Grand Alliance are contesting on 11 seats. Vaishali, Lalganj, Kahalgaon, Rajapakar and Rosra are such assembly seats where Congress and RJD will face each other. On the other hand, Congress candidate will face CPI candidate on Bachhwada seat. In such a situation, a situation of confusion has arisen for the workers of the Grand Alliance, which can benefit the NDA.

2. The enthusiasm that was seen among the leaders of the Grand Alliance during Rahul Gandhi’s Vote Adhikar Yatra has now reduced. The situation has become such that talks between RJD and Congress leaders regarding seat sharing have also stopped. Its effect has been that it has not yet been decided which big leaders of the Grand Alliance will go for whose campaign, while rallies of many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have started from the NDA side.

3. From the Grand Alliance, RJD has fielded maximum candidates on 143 seats while Congress has 61 candidates in the fray. CPI(ML) is contesting on 20 seats, CPI on 9 seats, CPM on 4 seats, VIP on 15 seats and IP Gupta’s party on 3 seats. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have not campaigned together since September 1. Mallikarjun Kharge had held rallies in the beginning, but now he has also kept his distance.

4. This time in Bihar elections, Congress’s entire focus is on women voters, the responsibility of which was taken up by MP Priyanka Gandhi herself. There was such a problem regarding seat sharing that she has not been seen in the election campaign since holding a rally in West Champaran on 24 September. Not only this, a program was also made to hold a rally in every division of Bihar, in which the leader of the Grand Alliance was to participate, but now even that rally is not visible on the ground.

5. There was a plan by the Grand Alliance to campaign with big leaders of other states in the Bihar elections, but now that too has been put on hold. In such a situation, a dilemma has arisen for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav. The Grand Alliance seems to be lagging behind the NDA in the battle of momentum regarding seat sharing and election campaign.
