Bahujan Samaj Party’s national president Mayawati is seen taking action regarding the 2027 assembly elections in UP. BSP supremo has already announced the name of the first candidate for the 2027 assembly elections. Amidst the politics going on regarding Brahmins in UP, Mayawati has placed her first bet on the Brahmin face.
BSP supremo has made Brahmin leader Ashish Pandey in-charge of Madhogarh seat of Jalaun. His move is being seen as a big Brahmin card before the 2027 elections. Ashish Pandey has been given the responsibility of Madhogarh seat and instructions have been given to strengthen the organization of BSP on this seat and work at the grassroots level.
Mayawati bets on Brahmin face
In fact, it is believed that before the election dates are announced, the leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party for whom she gives the responsibility of in-charge, are given tickets in the elections. In this sequence, by making Ashish Pandey in-charge, Mayawati has indicated that he will become the party’s candidate from Madhaugarh seat.
Bahujan Samaj Party is continuously busy in its preparations for the assembly elections. It is believed that after Holi, BSP may announce the names of in-charges on five more seats of Kanpur division. Often BSP announces the names of its candidates late, but this time Mayawati does not want to leave any stone unturned in her preparations.
Mayawati intensified preparations for 2027
This time Mayawati will announce the names of in-charges well in advance. So that the party can prepare on the ground and the candidates can easily coordinate among the general public and get full time to prepare for the elections. By announcing the name of Ashish Pandey, Mayawati has made it clear that she will enter the fray with the equation of Brahmin, Dalit and Muslim voters.
There is still one year left for the UP elections, before which there are many speculations about BSP’s alliance with India Alliance. The Congress party has openly invited him to join them. However, Mayawati has clearly denied that she will not go with any alliance. In such a situation, this time’s election can be very interesting.
