Severe cold has been recorded in some parts of Rajasthan. At the same time, severe cold continues in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Cold wave continues to rage in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the temperature in some parts of Uttarakhand was recorded between 0 to 5 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and North-Eastern states remains between 5 to 10 degrees. Visibility was less than 50 meters in some parts of UP, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Delhi weather
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of the capital Delhi can fall to around 5 degrees Celsius. In view of this, a cold day alert has been issued. Apart from Delhi, yellow alert has also been issued in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram. Dense fog can be seen in many areas in the morning.
Bone-chilling cold in UP
Due to snowfall in the mountains, icy winds have been blowing in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh for the last few days. Bone-chilling cold continues in the entire state. According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave will continue in 25 cities of Uttar Pradesh today. Apart from this, winds will also blow. Dense fog will be seen today in most of the districts including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Kanpur, Chitrakoot. Fog may reduce due to western disturbance becoming active on Friday.
In Lucknow on Wednesday, even the sunshine remained dim in front of the chill during the day. There was some increase in the day’s mercury due to sunshine, but due to the effect of cold winds the temperature remained high. The day temperature was recorded at 16.6 degrees Celsius and the night temperature was recorded at 9.6 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say that cold day conditions will persist with moderate fog in the city on Thursday.
Possibility of frost in Bihar
Cold and fog continue to wreak havoc in Bihar. According to the Meteorological Department, today there will be dense fog in most of the districts including the capital Patna and there is a possibility of frost. Because of this people will feel the melting cold. In Bihar, the weather is becoming quite severe in the hilly areas of Nepal and the lowland areas of the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted that cold conditions are expected in Patna, Gaya, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur and Saharsa this week.
