After the departure of monsoon, now pink cold has knocked in many states of North India. There is very strong sunlight in Delhi-NCR during the day, whereas people are starting to feel cold due to falling mercury in the evening. Due to cold at night in UP, people are forced to take out blankets.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather will remain similar in Delhi-NCR today i.e. Tuesday (14 October). The maximum temperature will be 31 degrees Celsius, but despite all this, people are facing problems due to the scorching sun. The weather of Delhi NCR will remain like this from October 14 to October 18.
Weather patterns in UP
These days it is getting cold at night in Uttar Pradesh. Although the sun is shining brightly during the day. According to the Meteorological Department, this trend may continue in the coming days. No alert has been issued yet regarding rain and strong wind. The weather is likely to remain dry in western and eastern UP on October 14. The weather may remain clear in both parts of the state on October 15-16 also.
According to IMD, there will be no major change in the temperature due to dry westerly and north-westerly winds. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be normal or slightly below normal. Overall normal rainfall has been recorded in the state during the monsoon season (June 1 to September 30).
Weather changed in Rajasthan also
Talking about Rajasthan, most of the districts are witnessing rise and fall in day and night temperatures. According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, due to weakening of winds coming from the north and activation of easterly winds, day and night temperatures will increase in the state. The weather will remain dry till Diwali and due to clear sky, the heat of the sun is also likely to increase. Due to no weather activity in North India for the next one week, the weather is expected to remain dry in entire North India including Rajasthan.
Cold increased in Himachal
Cold has started increasing in Himachal Pradesh. According to Meteorological Center Shimla, the weather will remain clear till October 18 and there is no possibility of rain or snowfall anywhere. There has been a slight increase in the maximum temperature due to sunshine during the day, but there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature at present.
Rain activities in South India
According to IMD, rain activities will continue in South India. There will be light rain in the north-eastern states. There is a possibility of rain in Maharashtra, South Gujarat and Mumbai around October 17.
