Ministry of External Affairs Protocol Department Postponed Credential Ceremony of Ali Murat Eersoy New Ambassador of Turkiye in India

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Protocol Department has postponed the credential ceremony (introduction ceremony) of Turki’s new Ambassador Ali Murat Arsoy on Thursday (May 15, 2025) on Thursday. The ministry announced that the introduction ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan has been postponed due to schedule related issues.

‘Apart from the Turki ambassador, the ambassadors of these countries also had to be introduced’
According to The Hindu report, a diplomatic source said that we suddenly came to know that the program had been canceled shortly before the start of a credentials. Apart from Turkish Ambassador Ali Murat Arsoy, the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh Riyaz Hamidullah and Thailand, Costa Rica, St. Kitts and Nevis’s ambassadors also had to present their identity cards to President Draupadi Murmu, but it was postponed.

Ali Murat Arsoy took over the Turki Rajudat in India in March due to the transfer of Firat Sunel to Turki. Earlier on 4 April, Arsoy handed over a copy of his identity card to the head of protocol Anshuman Gaur. The ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan is part of a formal diplomacy, which includes India -based mission heads, as they represent the head of their country in India.

India gives a big shock to Celebi in view of security
The Ministry of External Affairs canceled the program on the day when India’s Aviation Safety Regulatory Bureau of Civil Aviation Security canceled the security approval of the Indian branch Celebi Airport Services India, the Indian branch of the Airport Ground Handling Company Civil Aviation, with immediate effect. Due to this, the company suffered a major setback due to the shares of Celibi being down.
