The condition of Delhi is very bad since the next day of Diwali. Even breathing is becoming difficult here. On Diwali night, people burst firecrackers more than the two-hour limit, after which the AQI reached 447 on Tuesday morning. After seeing this, many Bollywood celebs have expressed concern. Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput and actress Vaani Kapoor have expressed their concern by sharing posts on social media. He says that people should not have done this.
Mira Rajput shared a story on her Instagram story on Tuesday. Meera wrote- ‘Why are we still bursting crackers? It’s not okay, even if it’s just to show the kids one time or we’re doing it just once to give them the experience.
Meera got angry
Meera did not stop here. He wrote in his next story- ‘Nor is it appropriate for your firecracker aesthetic to hold a sparkler for Grandfather. Let’s stop normalizing this. If we normalize it, our children will do the same and it will never stop. Say no to firecrackers cannot be a poster that you make with your children on Earth Day and then forget it when Diwali comes. He argued that AQI is not just news for the next Instagram story, but the air our children breathe. This is not a tradition I want to engage in and sadly, despite privilege, education, awareness and affluence, common sense is lacking. So no, as long as you’re enjoying the crackers, I won’t be sending my kids to watch. Please stop.

Vaani Kapoor also expressed concern
Vaani Kapoor also shared a post on her Instagram story. He wrote- As soon as I woke up in the morning, Delhi’s AQI reached 447, which is the highest in the world today. Maybe next year, we can find a way to celebrate without reducing the air we breathe. An AQI between 0 to 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor and 401 to 500 severe.
