Siraj played only the Oval Test in the month of August, in which he took 9 wickets in two innings, putting a deadly spell.
Mohammad Siraj’s performance in the Oval Test helped India to end the Test Series 2-2. England had a target of 374 runs in the fourth innings, but India had managed to win that match by 6 runs thanks to Siraj’s 5 wickets. He also took 4 wickets in the first innings. He has acquired this honor by defeating Matt Henry of New Zealand and Jayden Seals of West Indies.
In the Oval Test, Mohammad Siraj bowled 46.3 overs in both innings. Let us tell you that Siraj was the only Indian fast bowler, who played in all 5 Tests on England Tour. In this entire series, he bowled 185.3 overs, which was the highest. Siraj expressed happiness over getting this special honor and said that his team members are as entitled to this award as he is himself.
After taking 23 wickets in the Test series against England, Mohammad Siraj also benefited in rankings. After this amazing performance, he came to 15th position in the Test bowlers rankings. The number-1 Test bowler in the world is currently Jaspreet Bumrah.
