President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday honored Winners with the 71st National Film Award. During this period, Malayalam actor Mohanlal, who works in cinema for more than four decades, was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
Along with the award, the actor also got a cash prize of millions. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu has congratulated Mohanlal for this honor. He described the superstar’s image as ‘The Complete Actor’.

Mohanlal was honored by President Draupadi Murmu with the Dada Saheb Award. Along with the award, the superstar has been given many more things. According to the Ministry of Broadcasting, a person who is awarded the highest award in the field of cinema is given a gold lotus medal, a shawl and Rs 10 lakh as a cash prize.

On receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Mohanlal, President Draupadi Murmu posted from his’ X ‘account and wrote-‘ I heartily congratulate him for being honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Mohanlal. He has introduced the most soft and rigorous emotions easily and his image is made of The Complete Actor.
At the same time, Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri and the five National Awards, honored with the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’ Award, thanked all of them who gave shape to his journey in cinema. He said- ‘Whatever film he worked in, he touched them deeply and reminded him of the power of cinema as a medium.’

Mohanlal told cinema- ‘Spirit of soul’
Describing this honor as ‘miraculous and holy’, he dedicated this award to veteran artists of the Malayalam film industry and emphasized that it belongs to the entire film community. He said that cinema is the heartbeat of his soul and this honor has further strengthened his resolve to pursue this art with more depth and commitment.
Many stars including Shahrukh Khan get National Award
At the 71st National Film Awards, ‘The 12th Fail’ received the best feature, ‘Flowing Man’ received the Best Non-Feature Film Award. Both films won their first National Film Award. Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan) and Vikrant Masi (The 12th Fail) received the Best Actor Award. This is the first National Film Award for Shah Rukh Khan’s career. At the same time, Rani Mukherjee received the Best Actress Award for her strong acting in ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Verses Norway’. Like Shahrukh, this is also his first National Film Award.
