He could not escape this question even in Abrar’s wedding, a journalist asked him that Suryakumar Yadav had not refused to take the trophy. Another question was asked to Naqvi, what is the future of the Asia Cup now? There was a shameless response from the ACC president.
The final of the Asia Cup 2025 was played between India and Pakistan in Dubai on 28 September. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India defeated Pakistan and won their 9th Asia Cup title. Mohsin Naqvi wanted him to give a trophy to the champion team, he is also the head of ACC. But he is also the Home Minister of Pakistan and has talked about the war against India. For this reason, Surya refused to take the trophy at her hands. After this, Naqvi did not hand over the trophy to Team India, he took him with him.

The BCCI is taking legal advice regarding this matter. In the ACC meeting too, the BCCI asked Mohsin Naqvi questions about this. On this, Naqvi had said that Suryakumar Yadav can come to his office and take the trophy. On this, the BCCI had refused that when the trophy was not taken in the stadium, there is no question of coming to the office and taking the trophy.
