Today is the last day to apply for major government recruitment in Bihar and the eyes of the youth across the state are fixed on the website of Bihar Staff Selection Commission i.e. BSSC. The Commission has recruited 14,921 posts of Lower Division Clerk i.e. LDC and the last date to apply for this has been fixed today, 24th November.

The special thing about this recruitment is that the minimum qualification for this has been kept only as 12th pass, hence youth from almost every district can participate in it. Along with this, if the candidate has basic knowledge of Hindi typing, stenography or computer, then he can get additional advantage in the selection.
How much is the application fee?
To apply, candidates will have to first register by visiting the website. After registration, you have to log in and fill complete information. The application fee has been kept at Rs 100 for all categories, which will be deposited online only. After submitting the form, it is important to take a printout of it, so that it can be used at any stage in future.
What is the age limit?
Now let’s talk about age limit. The minimum age for this recruitment has been fixed at 18 years and maximum 37 years. However, according to the rules of Bihar government, backward classes, extremely backward classes and women will get a relaxation of 3 years. Whereas SC and ST candidates will be given 5 years relaxation and disabled people will be given 10 years relaxation.
Selection will be like this
First of all there will be prelims exam in which 120 questions will be asked. Questions will be from General Knowledge, Mathematics, Hindi Language, Reasoning and General Awareness. There will also be negative marking of one-fourth mark for wrong answers. After passing the prelims, candidates will appear in the mains examination and for those posts where computer or typing skills are required, there will also be a skill test.
The cut-off has also already been determined for different categories. Candidates belonging to unreserved category will have to score at least 40% marks, while 36.5% marks will be required for backward classes, 34% for other backward classes, and 32% marks for SC-ST and all disabled candidates. It is clear that the Commission has already set the standards for a transparent selection process.

Talking about salary, this recruitment is most discussed among the youth because the selected candidates will get a salary ranging from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month.
