A very painful road accident has taken place in Pandhurna district of Madhya Pradesh, where the passion for speed extinguished the lamp of two happy families. A 13-year-old National Karate Champion student and her 17-year-old friend died tragically in a horrific road accident at Mohi Ghat on Thursday (January 29) morning.
Bike dragged up to 25 feet
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened around 8 am in the morning, when two minors riding a TVS Apache bike were returning after visiting Mohi Dam. The speed of the bike was so high at the turn of Mohi Ghat that the student lost control while trying to overtake. The bike collided directly with the iron railing. The collision was so severe that both the minors along with the bike were dragged on the road for a distance of more than 25 feet. Seeing this horrific scene, the souls of the passers-by shuddered.
Rising karate champion student dies
13-year-old Prachi Bisendere, who lost her life in the accident, was not an ordinary student. She was an excellent karate player and had brought glory to Pandhurna by becoming the winner in the National Karate Championship held in Delhi on 26 December 2025. Her father Rajesh Bisendrare said with tears in his throat that Prachi had left the house in the morning saying that Papa, I will come back in just 10 minutes, but those 10 minutes never completed and the family got the news of her death.
Police and administration action
Immediately after the accident, with the help of highway ambulance, both of them were taken to Pandhurna Civil Hospital, where Dr. Shubhangi Vadbude declared Prachi and her companion Jayesh Golait (17 years) dead. Jayesh was the only child of the family. Police station in-charge Ajay Markam and assistant sub-inspector Shivkaran Pandey said that in the initial investigation, the main cause of the accident has been found to be excessive speed and carelessness. However, only the indicator of the bike is broken and there is a slight scratch. The real reason will be revealed only after the post mortem report of the deceased and investigation of the case. Statements of family members are being taken.
