Bhopal: A statement by PWD Minister Rakesh Singh of Madhya Pradesh has created a political storm. The minister gave irresponsible statements about bad roads. He said that as long as the roads remain, pits will also continue. There is no road in the world that does not have a pit. PWD has no such technique right now.
He said, “In the rain, there are pits on the streets of every state. Traffic and rain have an effect. We are facing challenges and working towards change. “
‘Posting posts does not make a road’
Rakesh Singh recently said on the road complaint of Leela Sahu, which went viral on social media, “PWD’s budget is not enough to put a post and we should make the road immediately. The department has limitations. But there are big plans in the coming time.”
What did Leela Sahu say?
Leela Sahu is saying in her video, “We want to say to every leader of Madhya Pradesh that you people talk about women empowerment, talk about their honor, but 10 km of roads cannot be built. You do not have to make it… Chullu should die by drowning in water. The roads here are such that ambulance cannot come. The patient is taken in a tractor. I am pregnant myself, how will I go. I want to say this to all the officials of Sidhi district.
‘BJP will be buried in pits’ – Congress retaliation
The Congress has reacted sharply to the PWD minister’s statement. Former minister Sajjan Verma said, “This is an unfortunate statement. As long as corruption remains, there will be pits. If the roads are built by quality, there will be no pits. There is a difference between BJP’s words and actions.” He taunted and said: “BJP had ever described the roads of Madhya Pradesh as better than America. Now the same leaders are calling the pits a destiny. The public will now reply in the vote, not in the pits.”
