A tremendous craze is being seen about the State Engineering Service Examination 2024 of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC). This time the Commission has taken out vacancy for only 23 posts, but the surprising thing is that about 8 thousand candidates have applied for these 23 seats. That is, there is a line of about 350 candidates for each post.
First rich vacancy, now fall
This is not the first time in the history of the State Engineering Service Examination. If we look at the figures of the last three years, the situation was completely opposite-
- In 2021, there was a vacancy for a total of 493 posts.
- Recruitment of 36 posts was declared in 2022.
- There was no vacancy in 2023.
- In 2024, applications have been sought for only 23 posts.
Exam pattern also cleared
MPPSC has also cleared the pattern of the exam. This time the selection process will be in two stages-
Objective Written Examination – It will have a total of 450 marks, of which:
- Questions of 150 marks will be on general knowledge and general studies.
- The 300 -digit paper will be related to the engineering subject.
- Interview – 50 marks have been fixed in it.
Competition became tremendous
Only 23 seats and 8 thousand contenders show that this time the competition is going to be very difficult. Youths who have studied engineering are applying in large numbers in search of government jobs. One of the major reasons for this is that there is a lack of stability and security in the private sector, while there is not only durability in government jobs but also gets social respect.
Will more vacancy come in 2025?
However, officials associated with MPPSC believe that in the next year i.e. 2025, the number of posts under the State Engineering Services Examination may increase. Information is being sought from the departments regarding vacancies and the possibility that new posts will be revealed from many departments.
