People of Chennai, not CSK Dhoni’s supporter
According to ESPN Cricinfo, Ambati Rayudu said, “The people of Chennai are Dhoni’s supporter before being called a supporter of CSK. He is called ‘Thala’ for some reason and he has been taking big decisions within CSK.” Rayudu also mentioned how the fans of Chennai celebrate their own batsmen out, so that they can see Dhoni batting. This is also a bitter truth because in the match against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, the fans of CSK were seen celebrating the dismissal of their batsman.
Dhoni’s dominance is not good for CSK
Ambati Rayudu also revealed that due to MS Dhoni, many players have faced the negative reaction of the audience and this has been happening for many years. Rayudu said, “No one will say this openly, but many players have felt its negative impact. We all want Dhoni, like them and want to see them batting, but sometimes feel bad when it seems that the audience is really waiting for you to be out.”
