Chennai Super Kings organized a special event for its fans at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. Veteran players of CSK also participated in this program. From Matthew Hayden to Dwayne Bravo, Michael Hussey, Muttiah Muralitharan, Parthiv Patel, Murali Vijay, S Badrinath and Suresh Raina were also present in the field.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni stole the show and on seeing him, the fans present in the field jumped with joy. He honored former cricketers and also honored the World Cup winning players. When MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina were seen together, the fans started shouting loudly and the atmosphere on the ground was worth seeing.
People also gave a lot of love to Sanju Samson, who came to CSK from Rajasthan Royals. Former cricketers also played cricket. Michael Hussey hit a powerful six off the ball of Ruturaj Gaikwad. During this time, MS Dhoni was keeping wickets and when Muttiah Muralitharan came to bowl, Sanju Samson hit him for a six.
Dwayne Bravo, mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026, also became a part of this program organized by the CSK franchise. Dwayne Bravo tried to hit a big shot and MS Dhoni had a chance to stump him, but he did not. Later Bravo also entertained the fans by singing a song.
Dhoni gave award to Samson
Shivam Dubey and Sanju Samson of Chennai Super Kings were part of the 2026 T20 World Cup winning Team India. MS Dhoni gave special awards to both the players and Dhoni also honored Ayush Mhatre, who made India win the Under-19 World Cup under his captaincy. Dhoni later threw tennis balls among the fans also.
