MS Dhoni has been one of the most successful captains of India. Under his captaincy, Team India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. Many players have achieved a very high place in international cricket by playing with him. This makes it clear that Dhoni is well aware to use the talent of the players properly. In 2020, Dhoni took his retirement from international cricket, he was also a mentor of the Indian team in the 2021 T20 World Cup next year. Now Akash Chopra has discussed a subject about which the whole of India wants to know.

Now that time is probably not far when MS Dhoni will also take retirement from IPL. In such a situation, the question comes out whether Dhoni will ever consider becoming an Indian coach after stopping his playing career? Former India cricketer Akash Chopra believes that Dhoni will probably never take the responsibility of coaching on his shoulders.

Will MS Dhoni become coach of Team India?

Akash Chopra on his YouTube channel said, “I don’t think MS Dhoni is interested in giving coaching. There are difficulties in coaching boat. In coaching you have to be busy in coaching as you used to be in your cricket career days. Sometimes responsibilities are more than that.”

Why not coach players

Akash Chopra also explained why most of the players do not do coaching jobs. He said, “You have a family, you think that you have spent all your life walking around with suitcases. So why do the same work to do now. That is why most players do not do coaching jobs. Even if they do it, then for only 2 months in IPL. On the other hand you become the coach of the Indian team, then you have to stay with the team in a year. I don’t think that I will have so much time.”
