Meanwhile, a man has sent a letter related to Aurangzeb’s tomb to UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres. Actually, this person has claimed himself to be a descendant of the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. The name of this person is Yakub Habibuddin Tussi, who has written a letter to the United Nations Secretary -General, demanding the protection of Aurangzeb’s tomb located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (East Aurangabad) district in Maharashtra.

In the letter, Yakub described himself as Mutavalli of Waqf Property

In a letter to the UN General Secretary, Yakub Habibuddin Tussi has claimed himself to be the Mutavalli (caretaker) of that Waqf property, where the Mughal emperor’s tomb is located. Yakub wrote in the letter that this mausoleum has been declared a memorial of national importance, which has been protected under the ancient monument and archaeological site and relics of 1958.

The news agency ANI, citing this letter, said, “According to this Act of 1958, no unauthorized construction, ultimately, demolition or excavation can be done on and around the protected monument and it will be legally illegal and punishable if there is any such activity.”

The descendants of the Mughal emperor expressed concern about the safety of the mausoleum

Yakub Habibuddin Tussi, a descendant of Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, has expressed concern about the safety of Aurangzeb’s mausoleum in a letter to the UN general secretary. Yakub wrote in the letter that history was incorrectly depicted through films, media outlets and social media platforms, which hurt people’s feelings and results were seen as opposition and violence in a public. ”

After this, Yakub appealed to the UN General Secretary’s office to take self -cognizance in this matter and instruct the Central Government and ASI of India to instruct Aurangzeb’s security for the safety of the tomb.
