Out of 60 revenue mandals in Latur district located in Marathwada area, 29 were excessive rainfall till Thursday night. 50 roads and bridges closed
About 50 roads and bridges have been closed, as water has started flowing over these structures. 10 people stranded in flood affected areas in Shirur Anantpal and Ahmedpur talukas were evacuated safely with the help of disaster management parties and local villagers. An army team has also reached Ahmedpur. Five people trapped in a shed located on the banks of a river in Shirur Anantpal and three laborers trapped during the bridge construction work on Gharani river were safely rescued.
A person trapped in a reservoir in Kalegaon in Ahmedpur was also taken out. In Machani village, a person was swept away while crossing the bridge filled with flood water, but the local people saved him safely. He was given first aid at Saikripa Hospital in Shirur Tajband.
