Loss of 12 crores in four years
However, the situation started changing as time has passed. Now he was not getting as much victory earlier. He started getting upset. Alam was that he lost Rs 12 crore during these four years. A mountain of troubles broke on a businessman already surrounded by financial crisis, when his parents suffered one heart attack after another within a year and he slowly went into depression.
Online gaming addiction is no less than alcohol
Gaming addiction is nothing short of alcohol. It has as much effect on the brain as drugs. According to the Times of India report, psychiatrist Dr. Avinash Desusa says, the first person wants him to win every time. If the game is connected to money, then the desire to win increases even more. Later, there are difficulties and gamers lose money. However, they keep investing in the hope that they will win as before. They have three to four new gaming addiction patients every week.
App operator has no place in India
Dr. Dosususa says that once the patient is released, many times again, this addiction is caught, which takes both time and hard work to recover. The businessman of Mumbai also started to understand for years that he too has been trapped in a situation like ‘Digital Arrest’. In 2024, he took consciousness and then went and filed a case of fraud against the app operator who has no place in India and who works illegally.
How did it expose?
Describing his tragedy, he said that he won millions of rupees in the beginning. Later, when tried to withdraw the amount in the victory in cash, the app refused. He was told that this is happening due to problems in KYC. After a few days, money will be transferred to another account. Meanwhile, he was encouraged to keep playing further by filling money in an account, which used to change every time.
He said, initially when I used to put a small amount, I was given a UPI number to deposit the money. Then when I started paying a huge amount, the operators started giving me a mule account for transfer. This network of fraud was revealed in front of him. When he inquired about the account details given to deposit about 25 lakh rupees.
Then he asked a private bank in Aurangabad about his deposit of Rs 25 lakh, then he got a delayed reply. After this, he received a call from the app operator for an agreement. He suspected that the bank would have informed the app operator who runs the fake account about his inquiry. He also got a mail, in which the sender who sent him told himself to the Ministry of Home Affairs and said that he will be returned all his money in a war of Rs 10 lakh. He also sent all the transaction details done earlier. When he inquired about this in the post office, it was found that he is a fake ID.
