The IPL 2026 auction will be held on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. A total of 350 players have been shortlisted for the auction, but only 77 slots are vacant. Famous players like David Miller, Liam Livingstone and Cameron Green will be part of this mini auction. All 10 teams will bid with the intention of building a strong squad. MI is pauper, Punjab also has less money

Mumbai Indians have already retained 20 players, due to which only Rs 2.75 crore is left in their purse. Now only 5 slots are vacant in MI’s squad. At the same time, IPL 2025 finalist Punjab Kings also does not have much money. Punjab had retained 21 players and now it has only Rs 11.50 crore left to fill the remaining 4 slots.

These 2 teams can bid Rs 30 crores

Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are two teams which have a lot of money. CSK has Rs 43.40 crore left in its purse and 9 slots are vacant in its squad. Whereas KKR will enter the auction with the biggest purse, which still has Rs 64.30 crore left. A major part of this (23.75 crores) has increased due to the release of Venkatesh Iyer. Only Chennai and Kolkata franchises will have the ability to bid Rs 30 crore on a player.
