The incident of firing at the house of Bollywood producer-director Rohit Shetty in Mumbai has created a sensation. Now a new CCTV footage has emerged in this case. In the footage, the accused shooter is seen running away from the spot immediately after the incident. Police are considering this video as an important part of the investigation.
Unclaimed scooter found from Vile Parle
This incident of firing took place in the early hours of 1st February. After the incident, Mumbai Police recovered an abandoned scooter near a hotel in Vile Parle West. It is being told that this place is about two kilometers away from Shetty Tower. Police suspect that the accused came to the spot on this scooter and after the incident left it there and ran away.
Attempt to destroy evidence, forensic team gathered
Preliminary investigation revealed that an attempt was made to destroy physical evidence from the scooter. However, the police immediately called the forensic team to the spot. The team has collected fingerprints, DNA samples and other important evidence from the scooter. Officials say that this evidence will help in reaching the accused.
Conspiracy related to second-hand scooter
Investigation also revealed that this second-hand Honda DO scooter was purchased from Aman Marote, a resident of Karve Nagar on the outskirts of Pune. According to the police, this scooter was bought by 19-year-old Aditya Gayaki, one of the five accused arrested in this case.
According to the information, this scooter was purchased in mid-January for about Rs 30 thousand. Police say that this purchase was done on the instructions of Samarth Pomaji and at the behest of Shubham Lonkar. Money for this was provided by Swapnil Sakat.
At present, the police is interrogating all the accused and further investigation is going on based on CCTV footage and forensic report.
