Punjab News: A big and sad news has come out from Canada. A Punjabi youth was shot in Burnaby city of British Columbia province. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning and panic in the local Punjabi community. The deceased has been identified as 28 year old Dilraj Singh Gill. He was originally from Punjab and was living in Vancouver city of Canada for some time. Dilraj was staying there for work and his family is deeply shocked by this incident.
Death on the spot due to bullet injury
According to the police, Dilraj Singh was shot by unknown assailants, due to which he died on the spot. A burnt car has also been recovered at some distance from the place where the incident took place. It is suspected that the attackers fled using this car after the incident.
Canadian Police has expressed suspicion of target killing in this case. Police believe that the murder may have been carried out as per a complete plan. At present, the police have surrounded the area and started investigation and the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby is being scrutinized.
Police engaged in investigation
Police officials say that no one has been arrested yet, but the case is being investigated from every aspect. The investigation is being carried forward on the basis of the burnt car and evidence found from the incident site. After this incident, there is immense anger and sorrow among the Punjabi community living in Canada. People are expressing concern about security and demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
