Murshidabad vioolence: Violence against Waqf law in Murshidabad, West Bengal has taken a serious form. Hindu families migrated from Murshidabad: Shubhendu Adhikari
West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has claimed that many Hindu families have recently migrated from other areas including Suti, Samserganj, Jangipur, Dhulian and Farakka in Murshidabad and have taken refuge in neighboring districts. He wrote on X, ‘Those who could not go out are struggling to meet their basic needs. Their houses have been looted and vandalized. Even their drinking water wells have been poisoned. Some people have returned to their homes with the help of BSF personnel.
Administration is not allowing to distribute relief material: Shubhendu
Shubhendu Officer claimed that the district administration and Superintendent of Police are not allowing people to go to these areas to distribute relief material. I am sending email in this regard, but so far no response has been received from their side. At this time, I would like to appeal to philanthropic organizations like Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangh and ISKCON to help them by providing food items and drinking water for these people trapped in crisis.
Sukanta Majumdar will meet the victims
After the violence in Murshidabad, many of Dhulian’s families migrated to Malda, where they stayed in a school in Bashbnagar.
