Mustafizur Rahman Net Worth: Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is once again in the headlines. This time the reason is not his game, but his exclusion from IPL 2026 and the controversy related to it. Kolkata Knight Riders bought Mustafizur for Rs 9.20 crore in the mini auction of IPL 2026. However, after a few days the situation changed completely. Amidst the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, the anger on Indian social media reached IPL and KKR was heavily targeted. Seeing the matter escalating, BCCI intervened and directed KKR to release Mustafizur. After this the franchise dropped him from the squad.
Mustafizur is the owner of property worth crores
Despite being out of IPL, Mustafizur Rahman’s financial condition is strong. According to media reports, his total net worth is said to be around Rs 11 crore. He has many sources of income. Bangladesh earns a good amount of income from match fees, central contracts, brand endorsements and various T20 leagues for playing international cricket. Apart from IPL, he has played in many famous leagues of the world, due to which his earnings have been continuously increasing.
Strong record in international cricket
30 year old Mustafizur Rahman is counted among the most reliable fast bowlers of Bangladesh. So far he has played 15 test matches for Bangladesh, in which he has 31 wickets in his name. In the ODI format, he has taken 177 wickets in 116 matches, while in T20 International, he has taken 158 wickets in 126 matches. His cutter and slower balls in the death overs have been a challenge for batsmen all over the world.
It has been a long journey in IPL too
Mustafizur has a lot of experience in IPL. So far he has played 60 matches in IPL and has taken 65 wickets. During this period, he has been a part of teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings.
World Cup controversy also in discussion
The controversy deepened after Mustafizur was thrown out of the IPL. Bangladesh Cricket Board refused to come to India for T20 World Cup 2026 and demanded to shift its matches to Sri Lanka citing security. However, according to media reports, the ICC has currently refused to accept this demand.
